Is anyone doing anything with this?
I've seen note 2028064.1 with some new seeded EITs that have come out but can't find a report on it anywhere.

Do you just have to create your own based on these EITs?

Cheers
Dan

Hi Dan,

I don't have a definitive answer but I would imagine the lack of knowledge of what such a solution would be required to supply, to whom, probably means Dev don't want to commit to producing anything.

As far as I am aware you can't process contingent workers through payroll, you wouldn't want them on a system as employees - God forbid they'd be included in Sick Pay Processing, for example - so what's left?

I would suggest at this stage that it would be a case of wrapping up a noddy custom report in a concurrent process, and wait for someone to be interested enough to run it smile

Yea maybe I'm in the wrong place sorry, it's not really a payroll issue as such. More an HR reporting issue for contingent workers to HMRC.

HMRC have pretty clear guidelines on this and the first report is due in August. https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...ents/what-this-means-for-an-intermediary

It's just a bit strange of Oracle to provide seeded EITs but not a report to go with it...

True, but it wouldn't be the first time, and nailed-on certain it won't be the last! smile

Very true, Oracle is like the girl that cheated on you but you keep going back to them hoping every time it will be different

Interesting.. does that mean that a company is expected to create a record for each and every contingent worker paid?

Or at least the ones which are contracted directly via agencies..

I would imagine the reporting responsibility will fall to the paying organisation, e.g. the agent.

So if you are directly contracted to the government body then it's the government body, if you are contracted directly to a consultancy who is working for a government body then it will be the consultancy, and if you are contracted to either via an agency, then it will be the agent!

Good luck with that then.

And I read somewhere that if there are more than 1 agent in between you and the paying organisation then the immediate agent is responsible.. so basically every agent will try and hire through another agent to pass on the responsibility smile?

Apologies to the OP for being slightly off-topic wink

Of course the immediate agent will want their percentage too, so I wonder who will bear the inevitable cost of that...

To get back on topic laugh - it might be worth raising an SR with Oracle Support to determine the presence or otherwise of such a reporting process, and in the event of 'otherwise' when it might be expected to be delivered given the imminent requirement to send the output!
