All our locations have been setup as Global. We have to set them up as Local as part MDC solution provided by Oracle.
I have done the following:
Created new locations Attached the locations to the Organisations. Amend the assignment to include the new locations.
All the above done via API
The problem with assignment updates are:
1. Future dated updates . 2. I think the biggest issue is terminate assignments as you can’t update the location against those without reversing the termination. Bearing in mind we need to go back to April 2017. I am guessing there will be a good number of those.
Any advice or sharing your valuable experience will be well appreciated.
Can you not reverse the termination where appropriate, apply the assignment change, then re-apply the termination? Obviously you'd need to record somewhere the details of the original termination prior to reversing it.
