Not sure this is the right forum (not being a techie and all) but viewing output reports that another user has run has always been a problem. Even the system administrator cannot view them. Is this just the way it is or is there some profile option type thingy you can switch on to make this available. cry

Del boy recall the discussion we had at a well known 'adminstrator of pensions and works and stuff' in the North East? No not whose was the next round of WKDs in BJs... The idea that you could use the 'notify' option on a report submission to effectively send a workflow notification to a user(s) of your choice - when the recipient clicks on the notification they get the option to see the output by clicking on the link within the notificaton body. Caveat though - they can only view the output file once after that they are prevented from doing it - a 'security feature' by all accounts. They can however save it during that first and only viewing. . .Can't think of any other way of doing it tbh - I seem to recall some profile options but I've never seen any of them do anything to actually alter the visibility of the output file.

CT. Did you have to remind me. Oh how I miss those girls dancing on the bar and the strawberry tequila shots.......moving swiftly on yes I do remember that conversation strangely enough. Good call; that could solve my problem.

There is a profile option (can't remember the name) which allows you see the conc req output of people with the same resonsibility. All you would have to do is set this and then give people the appropriate responsibility. . .There maybe issues regarding the number of people you would allow to see the report using this method. . .Another way to achieve this would be to run an alert which would be an sql statement and then email the output. . .You talk about conc rew reports. . .There maybe other ways round if the reports are in discoverer

I have it on good authority they miss you too - nowadays they have to content themselves with having to cling on to the mechanical bull for 30 seconds (apparently though a couple of them have asked it for it's phone number)

Ok Gus I know the old grey matter is not what it once was. Anyone else got any ideas what the profile option is called. I've searched the app and the only one I can find that comes near to it is "ADI: Allow Sysadmin to View all Output" but then I assume this only works for ADI.

Here at the *** us poor techies have the unenviable task of doing production support as well as our normal duties. .Part of this we have an account on the production apps system called *** Operator. This provides access to the concurrent request results screen. The magic thing is that we can view the log/output of any request that has run whomever ran it. . .I'll inquire as to how this is done (smoke and mirrors probably).

Okay. .THe menu item 'View Requests' invokes a function called 'View All Concurrent Requests (System Administrator Mode)' . .THis function is a wrapper for the Function 'FND_FNDCPQCR_SYS' . .This may be of use. .Can't see anything else that is odd (ie all profile values seem to be the same as other resps).
