With grudging acknowledgement to old Granpa Simpson himself, aliarse Bob Morrans, here's what you do to get away from that ridiculous self-service-like menu screen for the apps PU responsibilities:

System profile option 'Self Service Personal Home Page mode'
Change value (for your user!) to: 'Personal Home Page'

Really annoys me, that often the default Oracle setting for a System Profile seems to be the least convenient one in the real customer world!

Just browsing through the pages - this caught my eye - I reckon this is my first entry - the 'Personal Home Page' is no longer supported as of CU2 - need to change to the non sensible one now.

Of course Sukanya should have added the reasons why, but i guess being good campers you will all now rush off and look up the notes on CU2 (CLUE - got something to do with desupport of PHP).
