Greetings, techie wizzes....

Here at W-D we have identified the need to effectively remove (temporarily) certain user-hooks so as to prevent them from kicking off all sorts of mischief when we come to migrate the data into Oracle.

I have a script of sorts that will remove the reference from HR_API_HOOK_CALLS (called, rather helpfully, HR_API_HOOK_CALL_API.DELETE_HOOK_CALL)

However, this seems a bit drastic given that the UPDATE_HOOK_CALL process allows us to set the enabled flag to 'N' (or indeed 'Y' if that is our desire).

Question is, does the setting of ENABLED_FLAG = 'N' have the same effect as removing the thing completely?

I await your learned responses....

You should be able to disable them and then run the user hook pre-processor to regenerate the api wrappers so that they are no longer called.

I think the delete option is if you are tussling with support and you need to convince them/you that you have all customisations switched off.

Even then, its still debatable as to whether they'd belive you or not...

That there user hooks pre-processor - would you happen to know the api/procedure that does that?
