I have an independent value set with two values <A> and <B> attached to a segment on the additional assigment details dff. What I want is a second segment "Date" to appear only if value <A> is selected. How can this be done?

Have looked at the Flexfield manual, the $FLEX$.value_set_name method can make one segment dependent on the other, however these seem to be only true for table validated value sets not an independent value set.

An independent/dependent value set doesnt fit my requirement as I don't want a value defaulted in the dependant value set, just for the 2nd segment to be displayed depending on the value selected in the independet value set.

Any ideas?
