Not related to any flex api, but i have just seen this on the public sector maillist and thought it worth repeating here (in case anyone else is troubled by it)...
Since the application of Fam Pack Rollup 2, if you try to create a standard link element based on your Salary basis (non salary admin type elements) the system will not allow you to do so any longer, it will generate an error message.
I, personally, use salary basis to differentiate between all of the different types of salaries available to employees (Salary Admin, Salary Spinal, Hourly Paid/Pensioners etc) and have found, until now, that this meant the elements would be created automatically on selection of the corresponding basis (except Salary Admin of course)
Oracle are looking into this, and their current response is:
