Hi all

I need to help the DBA out - yes I am aware of how bad that makes the DBA sound - say no more!!!!

I have a whole stream of of errors on trying to save a new hire in PROD!!! EEEEEKKKK! I think we have a strew of invalid packages, but I can't remember the SQL to check - does anyone have it please?

Thanks everso in advance

Hello Joules

Now you know me, I'm not a DBA - I do well in excess of 20 hours a week for one thing.

But, if you're trying to identify invalid packages, I think you can do

SELECT * FROM ALL_OBJECTS WHERE OBJECT_TYPE LIKE 'PACKAGE%'
AND STATUS = 'INVALID'

I don't have access to a database at home, so I can't verify this as being wholly accurate. e.g. not sure if the status column is actually called 'STATUS'. I confidently predict someone will shoot me down in flames for something I got wrong!

Any road up, hope this helps
