We have developed a Payslip Report using Reports 6i which outputs a pdf file. This is working fine and dandy except where we print a £ sign (in bold) above the monetary fields this displays as a capital A with a ^ over it followed immediately by the £ sign. . .Anyone got any ideas how we get rid of the stupid control character? . .By the way if you've never worked on Oracle Reports don't make it one of your objectives!

Have you got a dba on site. ? Please can he check whether you are using a 8 bit characterset that contains a pound sign such as WE8ISO8859P1. .and then take it from there.............

Check that the NLS_LANG settings are english_united kingdom.WE8ISO8859P1
