Other than the ubiquitous 'Data Loader' does anyone know of a relatively generic load tool that utilises the Oracle HRMS API's?

Custom solutions accepted, royalties paid, bribes acknowledged

Hi,

We can use the HRMS Datapump Functionality. Refer Metalink Note: 72564.1

Regards

Certainly the Window Frame works have used Web ADI extensively - I've got access to a few funky docs about it, but not to any, ahem, code!

Geoff
My immediate need has past, however i do suffer from idle curiosity...

Have they built their own 'front end' onto WebAdi?

I ask because i have seen a few snippets of some 3rd party products written in .NET that provide a user-friendly interface into some Webadi uploaders.

Barry

About 6 months ago whilst playing with WebAdi I set up a couple of functions that invoked specific integrator/layout combinations so they could be added to menus in an attempt to make their access idiot proof (or should I say easier for the end user). Is this what you have in mind?

Hi Barry - that pic, by the way is a gruesome little snippet of life at the NHS!!

I think the short answer is 'No' they haven't - more a matter of building a lot of generic Integrators which can be used for data loads, data maintenance and interfaces for each country. The idea is that as a new country (Bus Group) comes on board we can handle the data requirements through spreadsheets and standard ADI routines.

I know this is a bit late (I've not been on here much for ages), but I have developed some data migration software based on Excel.

Have a look at www.x2o.co.uk for more information.
