Can anyone help with this one? Basically, following a reorganisation of the business last year there were lots of org changes resulting in new orgs, obsolete orgs and a new hierarchy. Unfortunately the consultant who applied the changes in HRMS (no longer with us!) renamed the old orgs instead of creating a new org hierarchy, reassigning individuals and end dating the old ones. This means that all of our Disco reports that used the hierarchy are now incorrect as they don't pick up assignments where the org is one that has been renamed.

Without having to recreate the old hierarchy, can anyone think of a quick solution to this?

Any help as always greatly appreciated.

Scarlett

Hi Scarlett - nice to hear from you!

An interesting one. I wonder why the report is not picking up the renamed Orgs? I suspect that there is a dating issue in the EUL, because it is not that unreasonable to expect an Organisation to be renamed over time. You might need a techier person than me to come up with the answer, but I bet it is something to do with them using Organisation name when they might have chosen Organisation ID.

Perhaps this needs to be moved to a techie forum???

Thanks for getting back to me. I suspect you are right - maybe Mssrs Tucker & Cooper can assist?

Hello Scarlett

As Geoff (closet techie that he is) has already intimated, it's a bit odd that merely changing the org name should render Disco reports invalid. Having said that, without actually seeing the EUL definition for the org information it's a one of those 'needle-haystack' scenarios.

Is there any way we can get the relevant bit of SQL reproduced here? it's a long old time since I've even been anywhere near a Disco screen, but if you can get someone to extract that code we might be able to help further?

I bet you wish you never offered to help when you look at the attached......

I won't hold it against you if you take one look and recoil in horror!

EEEEEEEK!

Sorry, a mouse just ran under my feet whilst I was reading this wink

As discussed:

There's something a bit weird about the in-line view with the alias "salary_tbl" - it's got a hard-coded employee number in it! Not 100% sure how that could have happened, but perhaps something to investigate?
