Had this come up today and it reminded me of a J&J that was floating about some years ago but was then lost in the mists of time... . .Trying to compile a large-ish formula you then get the infamous 'some screwup at line <X> column <Y>' message but how to easily find the actual line that the line no relates to? . .Well copy the text of the formula to an Excel spreadsheet and hey-ho the line-numbers are there for you! . .Hey hey it's J&J...

Mr T . .Another less exciting option is to shove a wierdo character (picture of Baz perhaps <grin>) in the text and iterate it around until you can work out the problem. . .In an additional granny-sucks-eggs style comment don't be tempted to correct it in your favourite MS product as when you copy it back in you may well find that your lovingly crafted single quotes morph into slightly different single quotes that cause compliation errors. . .Leon

The Payroll Pusher sounds like a cut-down version of the toolkit that has been developed here at ***. .I say cut down because here we can migrate the entire configuration between environments almost seamlessly. . .As you say CT 'bless' <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

There is also another product called AID from Blue Dun. They also claim that a funcky could do data migrations with this as well.

I know we are steering off-thread with this... .This product was assessed here at *** and was deemed not suitable and not used. .I believe Blue Dun is the company run/owned/managed by a chap called Mike Proctor (in case any of you have come across it or him). .I can't go into any more detail about this without treading into dangerous territory but am happy to discuss via PM/email if anyone wants to.
