I have a message to be displayed on a self service page using personalisation and there is an email address mentioned in the message.
I want to make the email address as clickable and should open using the default email software (i.e. outlook etc)

Any idea?

Use HTML to format the e-Mail address as:

<a href='mailto:Someone@Somewhere.com'>Someone@Somewhere.com</a>

This will display Someone@Somewhere.com as a link to the e-mail address.

No This is not working
I created an item of type "Static Styled Text" and attached a message but email address mentioned in the message is not clickable.

I think that you want to use Formatted text and not Static Styled Text; this should help you.

could be that the answer lies between SINGLE QUOTES and DOUBLT QUOTES !!
