Has anyone been able to successfully get Oracle Apps to send a message to a mobile phone via SMS?

I seem to remember this as being one of the more outlandish visions of the Migration Team at the N*S project all those years ago, but I can't recall it actually working.

Any pointers, tips, documentation, empty promises of health wealth and happiness all welcome.

we can emails from Oracle apps.. so if you can arrange with a provider to convert that email into a sms ..

I blogged about some guy that managed to get his Oracle instance to tweet! So SMS's messages should be a piece of p**s.

In fact Oracle internally used to have a SMS gateway so that you could email out to send SMS messages.

My Oracle Support suggests they can only send emails and its the provider that converts them. Search for SMS Messaging.
