At my present employer, when Oracle wants to pop up an HTML screen from Core Apps - so the logon screen if you timed out, perhaps, or the HTML salary admin form, for example - it does so behind the forms session.

I am sure I've not seen this before - it is really quite annoying. Any ideas why it is doing it here?

Edited to add we use Internet Explorer 6.

Geoff, do you get the same problem with Firefox? - I know you use it in your dev environments! I had to, if you remember, because of some weird behaviour when I was there one time... the IE browser, not me, obviously.

Hmmm
If you have tab-enabled IE (v7 and above i think) then this may work...

Internet Options => General => Tabs => Settings
Check the checkbox for "Always switch to new tabs when they are started"

This may (or may not) also work when a new window is spawned too.

Barry / Clive

Tried FF & IE settings.. but didnt work .. frown

I was digging around on google and there is a .jsp syntax to SetFocus() but dont know how to call it through HTML.
I was going to try to add something to the in the salary admin function in the fnd_form_functions window in the HTML call ..

Will update the results.

Regards
Shiva

I was using IE 6, not Firefox as I don't tend to exhibit the same kind of weird behavious as Mr T - I restrict that to out of office hours!

Seem to have a fix - open the Java COntrol Panel > Advanced > Java Plug in > Disable the 'Enable next generation Java Plug-in'

And now it seems to work!
