Hi all

I've got a lovely P45 problem that I'm struggling with.

The P45PT1 process (P45PT1 EDI Process V6) has failed, but the log only gives this information:

Assignment NI Number Name / Error message
---------- --------- ----------------------------------------------------------

,

The Address Line 1 of the assignment is missing.
The Address Line 2 of the assignment is missing.
The Last Name of the assignment is missing.
The First Name of the assignment is missing.
The Gender of the assignment is missing.
The Date of Birth of the assignment is missing.
The Tax Code at Leaving Date of the assignment is missing.

As you can see, it looks like it's picked up a phantom record.

As this concurrent program is a spawned program, I'm struggling to find anything that will give me a hint as to where the records are selected from.
I've had a look at the PAY_P45_PKG, but that didn't make much sense to me.

If anyone can provide a pointer as to what the cursors are that select this data, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alex

Alex,

Have you looked under the Payroll Process Results form for this process? This should detail all the employees picked up within this run.

Just a thought

cheers

Something else to be aware of is when you have found the people in error and you've corrected them you'll have to either mark them for retry or remove them for the original run. I had issues like this all the time on a previous contract and even though they are in a status of error you can't just amend and retry.

Cheers

The log should tell you the number of the offending assignment.

That is should Del but there is a bug which, like Alex is seeing, it doesn't show you who they are.

If there is a payroll action for this process, then there should be assignment actions for every assignment it processed under that payroll action. Somewhere in there is an assignment action which was in error - find that through the View Payroll Processes screen , then the assignment action id will lead you to the assignment id. Then a bit of sql to find the parent person record, should see you on your way.

Hi Alex,

It has been a while :-)

If you look at the Payroll Process Form you should be able to find your erroring employees. Like I say, make the changes to those employees and then mark them ALL for retry. If you only mark one of them then thats the only one that will be corrected. One of those many Oracle features :-)

Good luck

Paul

Sorted, thanks for all the help, guys. I used one of the other assignments that hadn't errored to track down the payroll action. The reason I was struggling so much is it was in the following week to what I expected.
