We are trying to write an Interface which amongst other things needs to hire an ex-contingent worker to Employee.

I have looked at 'HR_CONTINGENT_WORKER_API', but could not get a solution

Any ideas if these can be done through APIs?

Is there anything in the HR_EMPLOYEE_API package? I've no access to an instance at the moment, so I can't check that myself.

Got the solution.

We can use 'HR_EMPLOYEE_API.HIRE_INTO_JOB' to hire an Ex-contingent Worker as an Employee.

When we hire an Ex-contingent Worker as an Employee, What about the Earnings & Deduction and accural plans will be also trasnfered to the new Employee.

I'm not sure contingent workers can have elements etc. I seem to remember that you couldn't put them on a payroll.
