Following a recent spamming incident we will be implementing additional anti-spamming measures over the next weekend.

These measures will include a user-check (for new registrations) against a database of known spammers (indexed by user name, email and IP addresses). The database is held at Stop Forum Spam
For existing users, the administrator control panel will provide an at-a-glance visual check of a given users credentials against this database.
Genuinue users of this forum have nothing to worry about

The upshot of this mechanism is that we will be able to remove the restriction which currently routes all posts by new users for admin approval.
