Can Any only tell me the procedure to update Employee Assignment Number in Assignment Screen

Hi Arman,

When you create a new person record the employee number defaults to the assignment number. This can be changed simply by updating the assignment number field in the assignment form. You need to be aware that the employee number and assignment number would then be different. What is the business reason for changing the assignment number?

Initially i have create employees say sequence from 100-200 and in the later stage depend on the client requirement i have updatede the employee numbers say 500-600. After updating the new employee number got updated i.e 500-600 for an employee but the assignment number remains the same i.e 100-200..

so i have to update the assignment number same as new employee number i.e 500-600 which i have updated.

You can do it through update_assignment_api.
But be careful while using this API.

Because, sometimes the projected assignment end date will get updated to 01-jan-2012 because of this api. some issue with this api.

there is a patch for it.
hence, apply te patch first and then use this api.
