We are currently testing multi-tenancy set up within HRMS. All the OLS steps have been completed by our DBA and the configuration guide has been followed. I have a few questions about the next steps.....
We are proposing having three UK based businesses on the environment. All of these have the same Flexfield structures and will share numerous lists of values.
We are testing the set up by creating each of the companies as a separate Business Group. These are then mapped to a single Enterprise.
What is available 'Globally' that can be used across all the Business Groups so that configuration can be limited?
I know Locations can be set up this way, but what about Jobs set up within the Job Flexfield or Positions within the Position Flexfield??
If anyone has a comprehensive list of configuration that can span multiple Business Groups that would be great.

Martyn, welcome to the forum

I don't have a definitive list, but if one were to compile one (e.g. via this thread!) one could add 'Rating Scales' to it...

As a starter, one could, if one had access to SQL, do the following:

SELECT table_name
FROM all_tab_Columns
WHERE column_name = 'BUSINESS_GROUP_ID'
AND nullable = 'Y';

You'd probably need to do a bit of weeding out on the results of that, in that it's a bit simplistic - some things only permit a null BG because they have potential to be legislative in nature, e.g. elements - I don't think you can actually set up an element yourself without the business group id being applied.

Hope this helps, and hopefully others will chip in with their own experiences
