I was just in the process of creating some standard element links and encountered App-Pay-06956 Element entry overlaps with another entry of the same type.

Metalink [ID 260397.1] suggests running a PYUPIP trace on the link creation but goodness knows if there is one or one hundred rogue records.

Is there any 'ace' out there who has a nifty bit of SQL that could highlight these records?

Sounds like a corrupted assignment start/end date somewhere...

myOracleSupport seems to have heard of this quite recently:

"Creating Link For Standard Element, Errors: App-Pay-06956 [ID 260397.1]" has a script in it for identifying assignments with this problem.

I also think that the standard PIS11i.sql script (available from Oracle support) should also help in identifying corrupted records too.
