Ok so we are running enhanced retro pay

We have gone and made change and have run the 'Retro Notifications Report' and it does duly report the changes made.

We have then run Retro Pay Enhanced.

There are 2 Mandatory parameters Effective Date and Payroll and one optional Entry Creation Date

Ok so the Payroll you put the Payroll in, and the Effective Date you The first of the Period you want to pay the Elements in.

So what do you use the Entry Creation Date for ??

Edited to add: it suggests (to me, at least) that this parameter gives you the option to create the retro entries at a period even later than the default 'next available pay period'.

Just thinking about this further.....wouldn't you just amend the first parameter to be further in the future ??!!

RetroPay (Enhanced) and Retro-Notification Report (Enhanced) [ID 305663.1] tells you all about the parameters and what they do.

No mention of the Entry Creation date though!

True - I guess the documentation wasn't updated in the light of the RUP3 changes!

Oracle Docs, not up to-date scandalous accusation

Just found this on Bug 7635012 with regaards to the entry creation date:

The application creates retrospective entries in the pay period in which the Entry Creation Date occurs.The help file will be available with the R12.1.2 documentation Online and PDF Guides in Dec 09.

But the above comment still holds true..you can pick the period you put the entries by amending the 'Effective Date' parameter...the second date seems to be superfluous
