I have put an end date to few grades in Grades Table (Grade > Description > End Date)

Isn't there any warning saying that some employees are using/having this grade in their Assignment??? So they just stay with the Not Valid grade? What does it mean?

No warnings on the screen, unless you do some kind of Forms personalisation.

I believe that the assignment API is far more stringent - it will error if you try to set an assignment up with a grade that has been end-dated, even if the effective date on the assignment change is earlier than the grade end date!

I'm trying to enter an end-date against a grade (Grade>Description>To), but getting the error message:
[color:#99FFFF]APP-PER-449143: You cannot enter an end date for this grade as the grade scale defined for it has no end date or has an end date later than the grade end date. First enter an end date for the grade scale, which is earlier than or the same as the grade end date[/color]
The grade is only one of many which uses scale-points on the Pay Scale, and I don't want to end the pay scale, just this particular grade - am I doing something wrong, or is there a workaround? There's no End-Date field on the Grade>Pay Scale form anyway!?
