enhanced Retro-Pay is a 2 step process firstly configuration specified life event triggers capture changes into a first set of table(s)

The Enhanced Retro Notification Report concurrent request then trawls through the captured changes and populates a second Retro-pay set of table(s)

We are experiencing a problem where the Life Event Triggers are identifying changes but these are then not being picked up by the Enhanced Retro Notification Report.

This means retro payments are not being identified/paid

Has anyone else experienced this?

May seem a silly question but have checked that the element is set up with a Retro element?

The silly questions are always the best...but yes we have.

The issues is occuring across multiple elements with no apparent pattern.

We think Retro Pay by element may have been run inadvetantly (not the enhanced retro pay) do you know if that could cause an issue ?

The Retro notification will still show activity since the last Retro Notifacations was run, regardless of Retro Pay being run inbetween. The Notifications report is what clears this table not Retro Pay by element (this is what I have been lead to beleive)

If retropay by element has been run, you should roll that process back first and try again.

Does anyone know if there issues running Retro-pay in the future ??

Within our testing in Jan 2012 and are now mide year (Jun 2012)

A test has been carried out using the same sceanrio but in 2011 and it may well have worked ok ??

As long as your payrolls are completed that far ahead then there is no reason it wouldn't work.

We have just done a test in 2011 and it worked OK, so we are trying the same thing in 2013

You can date track from 2011 to 2013, make a change and notifications will pick it up. what it won't do is calculate and differences in Pay if there are no payrolls complete till 2013.

We have started an emp on 01/04/2011 paid them 3 months and then made some retro changes and all works ok

We are currently repeating the exact same test except starting at 01/04/2013

Will let you know
