Ok to be specific, I am one of 3 consultants.
I work for the organization, so i am an employee(internal).
The head company in the USA won't allow me access to any hrms responsibility due to DOB, and Saalry information.
And the software (11i) is owned by them(they pay the license fees, answer to software audtitors etc..)
All I want to know is, can i hide those fields using profile options?
I don't even have sysadmin access, so profiles could secure this data from , and then HR in the USA would allow me access to view UK based employee information, and absence mgmt, workstructures and organization setup etc..
As the UK based HRMS mgr, department want me to have access, so they dont have to maintain org setup, etc..
I would never update, or correct employees, its just to support my users, and also have access to live data, when it comes to absence mgmt issues etc..
My HRMS manager hates the americans!
However our solution is to hide the salary, DOB information in the form, the table per_all_people_f is being audited, and we have a view based on that table - salary and dob information.
Shall i create a custom profile option to hide the salary,dob, information (apply that profile option to a new responsibilit) and get the DBA to role this resp out to me?
