So i though the most sensible thing todo was to pass the buck and seek your advice :-) .. Apart from the logos all pointing to year 2008 etc and the fact that I believe Oracle themselves are at last providing something along these lines for free .. is this true or a wicked rumour !

Not sure about the Oracle rumour but I have used a tool very similar to this (may have even been this product) and it worked really well for 'Go Live' comparing the setup between our test and production environments. The files can sometimes be a bit large but the differences are usually highlighted so easily identifiable.

I'm a convert to CS. Latest release with it's ability to compare between instances extract differences, take a baseline of an instance and compare changes against the baseline, etc., make this a very useful tool.
