... to the Right Honourable CB for his first successful balance data migration since.... well ever by all accounts. Even a last minute panic in the terminations process was not enough to stand in it's way! . .*Polite clapping* . .I'm still going to scrutinise my next tnl: (anag.) bill very closely tho.

You've either got it or you haven't! . .This is in fact the first Payroll implementation I have worked on since Watson Wyatt started implementing Oracle Payroll and then pulled the plug on the project when it was approaching parallel running. I'm not sure what year it was but my guess would be somewhere around 1997/8. . .So this will be the first Oracle Payroll project that I have worked on that has ever gone live!!!! . .Can't see what all the fuss is about with these Oracle HR consultants refusing to get involved in Payroll it's just a bunch of different screens some different tables and a hefty mobile phone bill ringing anyone who is stupid enough to answer it when they see my name pop up. But thanks alot to the stupid Messrs Cooper Tucker Hatten Moyano Harrison Thrussell and Williams without whom it would not have been possible. I love you all and want your babies. .Is that enough crawling for now?

... but did you migrate your own bank details? Always handy for verifying the BACS process has worked with migrated data. . .Talking of 'tearful speeches' isn't that what happened at Watson Wyatt? Stingo feel free to leap in at this point...

With the amount of migrations you've done CT your bank details must be lurking in many a clients payment methods tables! .And I do believe that Stingo was the final nail in the coffin at Watson Wyatt. Has anyone else reduced a client to tears? I know that a few Oracle consultants have been reduced to tears when they heard that Degsy was joining their project but only the one client. . .Celebration piss-up is tonight in Wokingham meet at The Queens Head at 8 o'clock. Anyone else ever tried the Queens Head?.......

We're celebrating a monumental moment in history and you're going to drown your sorrows!! This data load was of such major importance that white smoke was seen to be coming from the top of the building (and if don't get the significance of that then you are thicker than a thick person on a thick day).

Yep they had been tuned to perfection by Clive "where is that Kray computer?" Tucker. .Talking of old computers the first ones I worked on were IBM and they were water-cooled! And we had paper tape punched cards mag tape readers...... .Those were the days of real computing when lights used to flash on the console!!!

[quote:6aad90df0c]Back to this 'white smoke' was this billowing out of the back of the server as your conversion scripts were running? [/quote:6aad90df0c] .More likely burning of evidence (post-its with the apps password scribbled on it CV40 etc)

Don't let Oracle OnDemand know that we still have the Apps password to the Production environment or the accidental table updates that have happened. Although these don't seem to have worked - am I missing something?
