Anyone know where PERL is used with Oracle APPS?

CU2 requires an upgrade to PERL, and we want to know what impact (if any) this will have, and whether we can upgrade PERL 'hot' in the production system.

Is your perl question still valid ?

Perl is shipped with the 9i/10g RDBMS and with Apps iAS and used for a multitude of things inc. cloning scripts and db interrogation scripts.

I've just upgraded Apps with 3480000 (11.5.10.2), HRMS K et al, but did not necessiate a perl upgrade. Did require some config on DB tier (set ADPERLPRG and PERL5LIB) as not set in context file. This was required to AutoConfig enable RDBMS OracleHome.

Any specific area of perl use you need info on?

No the question went away - lame DBA's not reading their readme's correctly. As it happened we already had the latest PERL in situ courtesey of an AIX upgrade.
