Can you do a Query in a Folder (or a form) where the value of a field is not equal to something?

For example, query back in the Assignments Folder where the payroll is not equal to 'Monthly'.

After a bit of experimentation this seems to work ...
!=’Monthly’

... seems that even without the quotation marks it will work i.e.
!=Monthly

Try:

<>'Monthly'

in the field

Or,

^='Monthly'

They work OK.

How about where a field is null?

Tried it on the Person Folder, putting =null in the Marital Status but it didn't return anything even tho there are employees without a marital status.

You need to do the old # trick. In the field, say

#IS NULL

That'll fix 'er!

BTW That trick works for other where-clausey things too, e.g.

#IN ('Married','Happy')

That does the trick - unlike the Spurs forwards.

Ah mate, the Spurs forwards are still doing it - only, they don't play for Spurs anymore grin
