Do you know if anywhere around the globe there is a software solution connected with Oracle HR to manage supervisors hierarchies in a "visual way"? (i.e. you see all the names and relationships amongst them in a graphical fashion and you can drag-and-drop the names and - ideally - automatically create the correspondent transaction in Oracle)

I've had the above question from the client - any ideas...?

Don't know of such a beast. We're about to implement positions and will use the position hierarchy to manage the supervisor hierarchy (eg. if a position's parent is vacent them go up the hierarchy until you find the first filled position - use this detail to update the supervisor record of assignment records linked to the inital child position). I'm guessing that we could use the position diagrammer in the way you want and our custom process will correct the supervisor hierarchy overnight.

You can check the third party tool called Orgpublisher (try in google).

I heard about that but never used.

Orgplus and orgpushlisher are ok for extracting the data out and displaying it in a nice graphic form. You can also use it to trial a new structure but I am not aware you can import the data back into oracle.
Have used Orgplus and it is very good. check out thier website and datasheet for more info and trial version
