Hi all - just a heads-up on some upcomming planned downtime...

Over the weekend of Friday 28th May to Monday 31st May the servers hosting HRMS Aces (amongst other things) are being moved to a new Datacenter (within the UK).

The move will involve approximately 2 hours of downtime on the Friday night, and another 2 hours downtime on the Saturday night. Both moves will take place from midnight GMT.

The downside of this move is...As part of this move, the servers will be allocate new physical IP addresses, therefore there is a high probability that some people may experience odd DNS issues whilst the new IP addresses are updated across the internet.

The upside of this move is...As part of this move, the servers will finally be connected to a new 1GB switch (currently we are on a 100MB switched circuit), so hopefully we should see a boost in performance and throughput

By my reckoning everything should be hunky-dory by now.

We did experience a loss of service for approx 7 hours on Saturday morning, primarily due to DNS issues as the new IP addresses updated across the ether
