Dear SBi,

using Manager SS, when I am applying to sub ordinates leaves, it gave me the approval hierarchy of manager not sub ordinates. Please let me know how to do this.

You need to understand how to set up AME approval rules, I am afraid.

Do you have a developer to help you?

SBi - it worked fine. Not sure what your bug was, but it is meant to be able to work in that way. Being self service, there are often hidden functions required in the menus!

Hi Goeff,

We have setup AME rules, and they are working fine and yes we do have developers.

The Problem we are facing is when an Manager selects is subordinate using MSS and apply for leave it should show the approval hierarchy but it does not shows.

Regards,

Saqib Rahat

In AME:
1. Create a attribute which returns Yes if the transaction creator not the employee's manager (this could be employee himself/herself or this other person)
else return No
2.
Create a condition for approval where the above attribute is Yes
3. Add condition to rule.
4. Create a approval group with dynamic query to fetch the manager of the "employee" and not the requestor.
5. Add the approval group to the AME rule
6. Any of the above requests will be sent for approval only if employee or other person are requesting and will be sent to the employee's manager and not the requestor's manager.

Thanks for your help guys, we have figured it out on leave case, and it is working fine.

But we have other scenarios as well where we require assistance, Suppose if a manager initiates the request like loans, and the loans are granted as per level/grade.

The problem we are facing here is, when manager tries to initiate the request on behalf of other employee, screen pulls the manager data not the employees data.

Please help here
