The End of Year Legislation patch includes the new requirements for additional statutory paternity leave. A note says that in order to test this before 6th April the sysdate needs to be changed to a date after 6th April.

Has anyone done this before and is there any other implications or issues in doing this.

Cheers,

Delboy

Del,

When working for Oracle in the QA department this is something we did on a regular basis for scenarios like this.

There should be no impact as all it is doing is forcing the system to believe it's in the future, allowing the functionality to be accessed and to work correctly.

Cheers

Del,

following on from you quetsion can you do me a favour please? I am waiting for the EOY patches to be added to our test environment BUT what I can't tell from the read me is what element they have updated/created to hold the PT and ST thresholds? It should be under a Setup NI Balance ?? element but like the EOY Patches for 2009/2010, Oracle added the UAP input values to Setup NI Balance 5 which had already used all 15 input values allowed for a single element. After Oracle admitted fault they created Setup NI Balance 13 to hold the UAP Input values. I'm also interested in the layout of the NI elements i.e. NI A, NI D and what the input value format is?

Can you let me know please matey ... I am too impatient waiting for the DBA's here to apply the patches :-)

Cheers

Paul

Paul,

I'm in the same boat. Waiting for patches to be applied. We have only just gone live with RUP5 so are getting our test environment refreshed. Should have it applied next week, hopefully.

Cheers,

Del

Hi Everyone,
We are also going to apply the EOY legislation patch for testing the new functionality of additional statutory paternity leave.
The DBAs will be applying these patches on the TEST instance over this weekend.

This particular TEST instance will be refreshed from the Production Instance and the database sysdate will be changed to a date after 7th Apr, 2011.

Well, I was wondering will it have any adverse effect on other modules in the TEST instance?

Regards
Sachin
