Once again i'm begging for help

We have our system set up and workflows using the Position Hierarchy. But this is causing all-sorts of problems with our workflows, most of which is customisation and unsupported.

We are looking at going down the AME route, BUT from our inital work, we have to use the supervisor hierarchy (not a problem i guess) I have a few questions though...

1) Can this be maintained from the position screen. I have seen a supervisor field on this form, will this update the assignment screen?

2) Using the position hierarchy with Self Service i can see how Managers can see there staff. Using the Supervisor Hierarchy what would be the expected view in SS be for Managers?

Is there an option in Oracle HRMS to allow employee to be supervisor for himself?

In my current assignment the customer is wanting to use this option for the Chairman of the company as he has no supervisor.

Nope - can't be done. What are they using the Supervisor for - if for workflow approvals, then would it not be better to create a rule in AME to say he doesn't need approval?
